Fast combat and evaluate your builds against many different squads

The new version makes it very easy to try a combat. Just select 2 squads from a list of 70+ pre-built squads given by the community and jump into the combat. Or build your squad, add it to your list of squads and evaluate it in combat against very different builds. The prebuilt squads are featuring all unique pilots, and are coming from registered lists in championships, locals or worldwide (X-Wing Juggler).

In more details, here are the list of features added to this version:
* Main screen: from there, you can either import squads, create new ones or just select two squads from a prebuilt list. This list is extracted from X-Wing Juggler. Each unique pilot belongs to at least one squad, so it's easy now to try plenty of different builts, without the need to build all these squads ! When 2 squads are selected, press "Next" for Combat. To keep the load time manageable, only 70 squads are shown.
* Squad builder: separate squad building process, in a new screen. The screen scrolls now, including on pads and phones. The squads you build are automatically added to the list, in the main screen. They are stored in your browser, no need to register.

* Combat: same screen as before. The lists of units can also be scrolled.
* All messages are now in English & French (select the appropriate flag), including those appearing in the console.
* The AI tries harder to stay in the game area. It is still a very simple opponent. 
* All pilots are now done: 155/155 ! Some upgrades still need to be done: 149/162.

There are also some bug corrections.

  2. Just press the icons in the column "Player" that looks like a human player. It will switch to a computer icon.

  3. I'm having a really hard time making a new list and then loading a pre-existing list. I click New Squad, put in a squad, then click Next and get the squad by itself on a battlefield. I then reload the page and now my squad is in the list of squads, but there are 9 pages to scroll through so i do a search and select. But now I want to find an opponent, so I clear and search for something else and select. at this point, the "next" button is still grayed out. If I clear out the search field and then find one of my squads and deselect it and then select it again, then the Next button turns red and I can proceed.

    Very clunky.

    1. Yes, indeed the selection was not easy. Selecting and filtering the list was not correctly functioning. I modified this so that you need now less clicks. Feel free to propose new design for the interface.

  4. I just tried three times to have a match of BB+Poe vs YYY+Xizor (AI), but each time after the Bs and Ys move, the game gets stuck and nothing happens. I can't move any ships, and if I click on the map, it starts to move around with my mouse cursor. Behaviour is the same in Firefox and Chrome.

    The actual lists:

  5. Miranda + TLT is having problems. You choose Turret, choose target. sometimes you get "Fire!" and sometimes you just get the +1 die / -1 die buttons. If you choose one of the buttons, she shoots once with the TLT and then stops. If you choose Fire, nothing happens.

  8. DeathRain drops the Cluster Mines and Proximity mines Before moving, instead of being an action.

    2. Thanks ! In fact, all bombs where programmed as...bombs, no special case for mines. It's corrected, now it's an action, possibly triggering PTL for instance.

    Lately, some of the ships have not been getting some of their upgrades. I put in the 4th-place worlds Palpmobile list and the shuttle was fine but Soontir was missing Stealth Device and Autothrusters and Darth was missing the ATC

  10. discovered two bugs with C3PO today:
    1) he triggers on every attack (should be once per turn)
    2) if the ship he's on has 0 defense dice due to a crit, no "guess" button appears and the game cannot proceed.

    5) Option for dropping bomb not showing up

  12. The game seems to freeze when you do the BB8+PTL combo (on Wedge at least). After the barrell roll, PTL action and green maneuver nothing happens, with no option to choose an action.

  14. Wow! Amazing update. Much more user friendly.

    Also, "Espilon Leader" is still borked. Instead of removing a stress token from every friendly in R1 of him, he's just insta-clearing his own stress when he performs a red maneuver.

  15. The most recent update is great! The game seems to play more smoothly now, and some of the bugs I've encountered have been fixed.

    One thing I've noticed is that Wedge's ability (reduce defender's agility by 1) doesn't always seem to work - for instance, I just fired at Soontir (who had lost his stealth device) at range 1 and he still rolled 3 green dice (should be 2).

    Also, I noticed that if you use Swarm Tactics, the higher PS stays even during the next activation phase (it should only last during combat).

    And I think Rebel Captive is giving stress to the ship it's on, rather than the attacker! (tested on Admiral Chiraneau).

    1. Yes, thanks for this bug report ! Indeed, stealth device and Wedge are both interfering with Soontir agility, it was buggy. Now corrected.
      Corrected also for Swarm Tactics (not sure 100%) and Rebel Captive.

  17. Bug: Cluster Missiles currently don't work properly with Extra Munitions. One turn of firing Clusters will fire off a pair of three dice attacks, but it completely drains the missiles+EM token to do so.

  18. using IG-88B and IG-88D - 2 problems i think - 1) it doesn't give you the IG-88D pilot ability to do a s-turn with the hard 3 template - also with STAY ON TARGET in affect you can't select certain end positions as they are overlapped with others.. if you move the arrow representing the 180 degree flip to the farther edge of the box it may fix not being able to select it.

    after 1 move or so things get weird and both talonbane and Kavil have 33 or 44 stress tokens.

  22. a few bugs noticed today:

    Darth Vader is still given the opportunity to take actions after he collides.

    Ysanne Isard does not trigger a Push the Limit opportunity.
